Following the murder of his 21-year-old political activist daughter, presumably committed in revenge for his time spent in Northern Ireland, Ronald Craven, a high ranking Yorkshire police officer, sets out to find the truth, uncovering secrets, lies, and conspiracies as he does, in this intriguing, beautifully paced, and frequently brilliant (particularly in the exceptional first episode) six part BBC thriller, which features an outstanding central performance from Peck.
