Based on Jeff Lindsay’s novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter (2004), this uncomfortably entertaining and oft challenging series follows the exploits of Dexter Morgan, a blood splatter expert with the forensics department of the MMPD, who also happens to be a serial killer, but one that, with the memory of his dead foster father’s tutelage, restricts his victims to the lowest of criminals so as to avoid detection.
