Though much of it is merely overblown, vaguely repellent nonsense, one key scene of Barber’s O.A.P. vigilante flick (featuring an incongruently fine performance from Caine) is so camp, ridiculous, and unintentionally funny that it wouldn’t look out of place in Joel Schumacher’s dire 8mm (1999); though, overall, it never quite reaches those depths.
