Ficarra and Requa’s oft hilarious if occasionally wearing adaptation of Steven McVicker’s (apparently) fact-based book – which details the exploits of a flamboyant conman and his titular emotional condition – makes Steven Soderbergh’s excellent The Informant! (2009) look positively reverent in comparison; generally entertaining, none the less. Iain.Stott
