Monk: Season 8 (2009)

Despite one or two lacklustre episodes, this slightly uneven but mostly thoroughly entertaining final season, which sees the brief return of Sharona and Monk’s badge, and features a cracking atypical two-part thriller finale, is a (just about) fitting end to a consistently captivating series.
