Following him for a period of three years, Smith provides a fascinating, non-judgmental portrait of a Milwaukee based independent film-maker, detailing his attempts to find funding and willing participants for two of his productions, Coven and Northwestern, and in so doing unearths a committed and vaguely talented director hidden behind a pair of large glasses and a mullet.
