When her husband disappears with the money to pay for their new double width trailer, Ray, a long suffering mother of two, desperate to provide for her children as Christmas rapidly approaches, stumbles into a people smuggling operation with a local Mohawk woman, who she meets fortuitously, and who is also desperate to provide for her child, giving her brief cause for optimism, in Hunt’s affecting and well acted if occasionally nonsensical feature debut.
