Bizarrely funny, sickeningly violent, and decidedly unsettling, Lanthimos’s enigmatic festival favourite paints a remarkable portrait of a family of oddballs, who live in gated isolation away from civilisation with grown-up, infantilised children who have been brought-up sheltered from the world, kept in their place by fear and lies.
